Dr. David Carter

    Dr. David Carter has been a practicing orthodontist since 1991, following in the footsteps of his father, Dr. Jack Carter. He maintains three offices in Augusta, Ga., North Augusta, SC, and Aiken, SC. He is a graduate of Westminster High School, the University of Georgia and the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. He also received his certificate of orthodontics from MCG. He holds dual appointments as associate clinical professor in the Department of Orthodontics, MCG School of Dentistry and the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery, MCG School of Medicine. He is on the staff of Georgia Regents University Hospitals and Clinics, University Hospital and Walton Rehabilitation Hospital. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Southern Association of Orthodontists and the Eastern District Dental Society. He was also elected as a fellow in the World Federation of Orthodontists. He is past National President of the Smile For A Lifetime Foundation, where he grew the Foundation from it's initial three chapters to over 100 nationally in his three years at the helm. He is member of the well know Schulman Study Group, as well as a member of the Ormco Insiders. He speaks nationally and internationally for Ormco and Invisalign.
